to stay as president of FIFA today at 3pm, which he has been tipped too, by the media, do you think the Europe teams will pull out, as African, Asia and South American teams, like him?

he will win.

no, UEFA will not withdraw.
As Mushroom says.

His future will be down to the likes of Visa.

No brass means he cannot buy African and Asian votes for himself next time.
European teams should pull out, that would force the hand of Visa, Coke etc.
Ah but a the sponsors are tied in with a contract that apparently a they can't get out of. Or that is what I read this morning.
Blatter is terrible, but who is better? Certainly not Platini who is positioned as his successor.
"Ah but a the sponsors are tied in with a contract that apparently a they can't get out of. Or that is what I read this morning."

no such thing as a contract you cant get out of...get a decent lawyer !
His successor would be Prince Ali of Jordan.
Do I hear the great and the good of Answerbank actually lining up to support a Moslem candidate? :-)
MInd you the last candidate to challenge him is currently under arrest.

Something has to give here. Blatter will almost certainly win. Don;t forget that it's only a small part of the FIFA "family" that thinks he's corrupt. Many either can't see what the fuss is about or stand to lose a lot if he goes.
But if he does stay - for now - the chances are he'll either be arrested in post or FIFA will indeed split. What would scatter the sponsors would be the idea of no tournament such as the World Cup to flaunt themselves at. And there comes a point where FIFA is seen as a toxic brand to a significantly large part of the admass.
Sepptic Bladder should go... now, but he won't. He's there until he dies. I thought at one time that David Ginola was up for the post? Obviously I was wrong on that point. Why hasn't Bladder been challenged? I mean, SERIOUSLY challenged? He must have great power and control over some countries.
//Many either can't see what the fuss is about or stand to lose a lot if he goes. //

.....or see a deal of truth in blatter's statement that it's only sour grapes on the part of England and the US that caused the situation.
Ginola couldn't get the necessary number of associations onside. Nor could Luis Figo. It's up to the Jordanian Prince.
The previous FIFA President João Havelange, along with another FIFA Official, Ricardo Teixeira, received £27m worth of bribes from the Company that had won broadcasting rights to the World Cup.

They were never charged because at that time, such bribery was perfectly legal in Switzerland.
Mr Havelange turned 100 earlier this month. So he has certainly gone on and on ...

So Mr Blatter, what first attracted you to the position of FIFA President?
Actually just checked: he's a mere stripling at 99 :-)
(obviously it was his love of the beautiful game)
A £1million bribe meant for Havelange was mistakenly mailed to Blatter. Honest Sepp mailed it back, but did not report or investigate the bribe.
Blatter has said that he is shocked and dismayed about all this talk of fraud and bribery in FIFA, but he knew nothing about it !

He reminds me of a certain flame-haired Fleet Street Editor who, despite widespread shenanigans going on at her paper, knew nothing. Like her, Blatter is either lying or the worst manager in the world.
News is breaking that Spain reportedly voted for Blatter. Unconfirmed, of course. So much for Uefa’s unity in backing Prince Ali. So much for a secret ballot.
It's gone to a second round
That was expected jomlett.

73 Votes against him, he will be worried now.
