/// The judge added: “Although these offences were committed in the Beeston area, it is not to be taken as a condemnation of those who live there. ///
/// “There are many good, honourable and decent hard-working people in that area. ///
/// After the case, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Griffin, who heads Leeds District Safeguarding Unit, said: “The sexual exploitation and abuse of vulnerable children and young people is a despicable and insidious crime. It is an issue that cuts across all communities and cultures. ///
Just to make sure we don't point the finger at one particular community or culture or offend, you understand?
Because they think all non muslim girls are scum and there to be used and abused. They have no empathy and no feelings towards these girls at all, it's how they have been brought up and brainwashed. These type of men will never integrate into British society and way of life but there are still those who try to make excuses for them and pretend it's nothing to do with the fact they are muslims. Head in the sand comes to mind.
No that is a reasonable thing to ensure as it needs little for vigilante or similar action to become reality they need little provoking to target everyone in a community. It's not like such acts are exclusive to one culture even if some seem to be involved more than others.
But an issue should not be ignored either. If there are reasonable ways to teach folk from incoming cultures that which is acceptable and not acceptable here and ensure they comply, then that should be done. Prevention is better than having to put things right as best as they can be after the event. But no one seems to have a good option. The problem is here now; it needs to be 'nipped in the bud' if that description still applies.
///Just to make sure we don't point the finger at one particular community or culture or offend, you understand?///
Yes anotheroldgit I do understand.
Particularly when I read of similar offences in Oldham, Derby, Peterborough, Ipswich, Telford, Keighley, Leicester, Rotherham Oxford, Leeds, Newcastle.
Aog, do you know what the cultural similarity of offenders is in all these cases?
