Clarkson Offered Job Back - But When?
33 Answers
The sub-headline says that Clarkson was offered his Top Gear role "days after Chris Evans was given role ..."
and then the text advises he was offered the job "just days before Chris Evans was given the lucrative gig."
So which is it?
Not that I care, I have never watched the programme which appears from snatches I have seen to be an expensive version of Last Of The Summer Wine - three grown-ups behaving like little boys.
Anyone have any thoughts? Media URL: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3130739/BBC-offered-Gear-job-says-Clarkson-Presenter-says-refused-role-corporation-executive-compared-Jimmy-Savile.html

Youngmafbog - //Seems to be an anti Clarkson thread.
It was a big money spinner for the BBC, so looks like many around the world don't agree with you lot. //
It's not anti-Clarkson at all - as I advised, I have no opinion one way or the other, and I have opined previously on this site that I greatly admire JC as a writer.

Chris Evans was once sacked by the BBC for regularly failing to turn-up for duty on Radio one. Now he's considered by the Corporation as something really special. He's already reputed to be paid more than a million ponds a year by the BBC for his Radio 2 show (£600,000) and TV..'The one show' (£500,000). It is also thought that he will earn a further million pounds a year for Top Gear.
