"Hundreds" is hardly going to earn Dave much humanitarian kudos. Syria must be like hell on earth. The people fleeing from there are genuine refugees and we're going to accept hundreds.

Why here though...we seem to be the dumping ground for anybody and everybody...
is it fair for the UK to take refugees directly from syria, without first taking people who've been living in abject squalor in calais?

In France they are in a safe place, they should apply to the French for Asylumn, there is no need for them to come here to be safe.

On the Syrian question, we cannot continue to take refugees in from war torn countries. There just wont be the room. Maybe we should look to make safe havens in these countries?
Are they going to be security and disease checked?
Also it's probably not MR Cameron that has ordered this if you know what I mean.
These are the kinds of refugees we should be taking, and some of the boat people. It's the floodgates that have let in the Europeans who just want to make a quick buck we should get rid of - more room then for the genuine cases.
