It'd be a shame to lose the British Museum, but Ronan Point was no loss at all. The pyramids would obviously be a loss (not that I actually see Isis managing to knock them down). But a tomb you never heard of containing someone you never heard of? I'm sure they were of cultural value to the Muslims who built them. They were not to me, and I bet they weren't to you either.

o god only in AB - why s study Archeology when Palmyra has nothing to say about Anglo-saxons or who ever they were then - hanging in the trees in Good Old Blighty ? Why study Egyptology when the Queen of Sheba never visited London ? [ although she DID travel a lot ]
I am shocked that even supposedely educated people can come out with this sort of thing - even on AB
Now British going out and making human barbecues of themselves and their children on the Dawlah front in Syria ? Yeah not interested in that even tho it is occurring in real time ( synchronic as archeologists say ) as really it is not related to Christian society here in the UK ......
Jennifer Saunders starred in a good prog on the last Queen of Palmyra ( same place geddit ? ) and THAT has something to do with Britain as as a young lady she was chatelaine to Pitt the Younger when he was prime minister ( so you see there is a link of sorts )
