Muslim hotel staff surrounded British tourists to shield them from the gunman, according to that apparently infallible Daily Mail.

^I agree. They were in effect protecting their livelihood. Fundamentalists have already all but destroyed much of Egypt's tourist industry so how long these jobs in Tunisia will last now remains to be seen.

There was a lovely young lad, about 10 years old, on the radio this morning. He sounded like Jimmy Clitheroe, Yorkshire? Lancashire?
Anyhow he said, ' I were proper scared and I proper ran up the beach' (when he heard the gunfire)

On 8th September I am flying to a predominently Muslim country - Albania - to stay with my "adopted" daughter and her family for a fortnight. I love this country and have never heard of any problems with Muslims, Orthodox and Christians living in harmony.

O by the way in 1956 when Nasser kicked the British out of Egypt part of the fun was to hole up and barricade Europeans into Shepheards Hotel in Cairo. Well at least they could enjoy a Singapore Sling before being shot .... and their servants came and got them and led them home via the by-ways

Those peaceful Albanian Muslims are making their unwelcome presence felt elsewhere. Do a bit of research.

I wouldn't trust what the Mail says, because aren't they always being accused of being, anti-Muslim, so there must be some hidden agenda behind such praise.
