Either the Met are getting soft or they are too politically constrained nowadays.
In light of recent events in Tunisia and the 7/7 bombings I would of thought at least the old common law standby "Behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace" would of sufficed.
This lack of action IMO is giving tacit approval and legitimacy to this IS rag.

retrocop, if they figured it was not likely to cause offence, they were correct; so good for them not wasting their time. Yes, I have no problems with a flag proclaiming that Allah is god and Muhammad is his messenger. I may not agree with it, but if people were arrested for disagreeing with me, AB would be empty.

Nor have I, if that's all it represented. But this was the IS flag - that's a different matter, as it represents a lot more. For example, a banner declaring Allah is god and Muhammad is his messenger could be willingly carried by any Muslim, whereas most Muslims would not be happy to carry the IS flag around ....
