They are joking, aren't they? These people have very deliberately put themselves in this position. Not 'homeless' as in my understanding and definition. I will not be contributing.

Chris (buenchico?) posted a link some time ago showing the 'marvellous' work being done by some British charities in Calais. Soup kitchens, clothing, etc. And best of all an office where, doubtless, they get info on applying for asylum, housing, benefits, etc.

They have made themselves homeless, seeking charity where we need it at home. Where did they get the money to get as far as Calais they don't look as if they are badly dressed either. Breaking into vehicles and entering other countries illegally is something that should be stopped immediately, not giving them succour to carry on with what they are doing. They ought to be shot.

I don't believe there are many if any genuine asylum seekers in Calais, they could have done that in the first safe country they got to, not travelled right across Europe to N/France.
They are there for one reason and one reason only, to get to the UK and get themselves onto our benefits system!
