No volunteer here. It's free in France as well. The BBC wastes loads of money by shipping people all over the world at a minute's notice instead of using their representatives on the ground, wherever it is. The number of times a story starts with a report by a humbler figure and then next time there is a big name out there is ridiculous.

Why on earth should I pay my TV Licence when the whole world can watch it free? The BBC should try living in the real world. Scale the organisation down and charge subscriptions for those who actually watch it.
