The poor woman. To lie there trapped for three days, and then lose her life when she was eventually rescued is heartbreaking. It's like the storyline from a bad film. Terrible for the families of the deceased. I think the police have a lot to answer for in this case. As for the story of the ten-year-old car crash that suddenly "rehappened", people love this kind of spooky story and why let the truth (or common sense) get in the way of a good story?
There was the story a few years ago where the police were called to a car that had crashed in similar circumstances to this one. They missed the body because they didn't get out of their pilice car because it was raining, and the body was not found for several days.

It will be interesting to see what the coroner puts as cause of death in this instance. In the case in my link above where the driver survived the crash and dragged himself out, the coroner was unable to blame his death on the police missing him and him lying in the cold for 4 days.
As this young woman survived and then died in hospital, will the delay be a contributing factor to her death, or will the coroner blame the initial crash?

It may be that she would have died even had the car been located on the Sunday. We will have to wait until either the coroner/FAI results to see what the actual cause of death is.
I hope that Police Scotland continue to be honest about the failings in their system and that any improvements to that system are made.
Meanwhile Police Scotland are all out at ''T in the Park'' trying to keep order. One sudden death so far and lots of moans about transportation.
