I've read the link (albeit quickly, so will accept correction) and I'm not sure where 'Jihadi John' comes into it. It is, however, a very sobering piece. Does anyone still believe that a vicious, fundamentalist war is avoidable?

As from today we now have Iran (Shia) 'befriending' the USA which will only ratchet up the conflict further.
We should keep well out.
