I suppose now he has been rumbled the old perv would describe it as a Labour of Love. :-)
Lord Sewel speaking in the House of Lords

//Lord Sewel, a former senior vice principal of Aberdeen University,//

A very appropriate title for his position. Aberdeen University will be inundated now .I had heard that new ,useless degree study courses had been introduced.
Hypocrite - should have been sacked rather than let resign.
He hasn't left the House of Lords i see.

Nor has Jeffrey Archer
I see Bouncer's rather nasty post to me has been removed. I'd like to say thank you to whoever reported it. Thank you.

Only one of many more to come. He is someone's mate on AB who doesn't realise he has chummed up with one of the trolls he hates. :-)
'Sewel is also facing calls to resign from parliament altogether – and could become the first peer expelled under new rules that he helped to introduce, even if police take no further action'

It seems the powers that be take an adult engaging in fun and frolics with other adults more seriously than adults abusing children.
Are you saying there are some people in the House of Lords who are known paedophiles, Talbot? (And I mean more than just rumours- I mean those pictured in the act or who have admitted it)
If these allegations are true, and they have every appearance of being so, he should just resign, and not wait until he is chucked out. But he is toughing it out at the moment it seems.
Question Author
How could he be chucked out? Consorting with sex-workers isn't a crime. Even if he was convicted of drug taking, to try to throw him out would amount to two sets of punishment for one offence.
// bringing the House into disrepute by using a £5 note, - he should be using £50 at the very least, or perhaps a cheque drawn on Coutts...///

damn damn s/o else on the Other Thread has noticed the drop in the standard of treasury note used to snort the white stuff.

They only get £200 a day expenses now pore liddle thangs
Sandy you are all mixed up about the idea of Double Jeopardy - had a good week end snorting the white stuff huh ?

( joke joke for chrissakes I dont want to go the way of Bouncey )

I sniff nothing more exhilarating than this these days.

Well.........perhaps a smile comes to my face......indeed a laugh.........yes it is morally all wrong...........BUT

A Lord, in a brothel, inhaling cocaine in a red bra and leather jacket surrounded by hookers..........bit of a character eh? Now found out and photographed for all the world to see (including his wife).....yes.....I did have a smile and yes i do have a modicum of sympathy.
we olds have so little fun now a days - sandy
that one could almost forgive the sinning Lord Sewel
Question Author
Indeed. He's indulging his peccadillos and at the same time providing employment for young women who otherwise might be a burden on the state by claiming benefits.

There does seem to be some damning evidence about on one of the lords, but for the life of me I can not remember his name.
Question Author
should have put, 'fairly harmless', before peccadillos ^
