“One refugee said racist attacks left him so scared he plans to return home”
I suppose some good has come of it then.
European governments need to beware. There is only so much that their electorates will tolerate. They see their governments presiding over these situations whilst sitting on their hands bleating that little or nothing .can be done. The people of Europe are remarkably tolerant (mainly because they have been told to be so by their governments and forced to be so by legislation). But eventually the worm will turn. And when it does no amount of “Human Rights” legislation and similar claptrap will prevent matters getting out of hand.
The people of Kent have shown remarkable restraint. Many of them in areas bounding the eastern end of the M20 are effectively confined to barracks because of Operation Stack. Those that are not face the prospect of migrants emerging from the back of lorries and roaming around their towns and villages whilst they begin their search for a “better life”.
Ironically the very legislation which saw the abandonment of internal borders in Europe and which was supposed to facilitate the free movement of people and goods has led to a situation in Kent and northern France where the very opposite is true. As was forecast by anybody with half a brain.
