This type of killing happens several times a week in the US. There are rules when leathal force can be used, when the police officer feels ' threatened'. This man was drunk and showed very little sign that he had a gun hidden in his hat. Even so, the officers fired first and killed him, and then asked questions later. There has been a spate of these incidents recently, and the Police never seem to learn from past mistakes.

If you have read my posts on the US cop killings you would no that I look at each case invidually have have differing opinions on each one. I think it is more likely that you think the cops are right in every instance.

His right hand, she wrote, was no longer visible from the officers’ angle when they opened fire and it was reasonable for them to believe he was reaching for a weapon.

He should have done as instructed and he would still be here.
