This means they need to allow access to people for advertising and the such like. Once you start doing that it becomes very difficult to prevent fraudulent use, or even legitimate access being used for something dodgy.

My absence of use of social media is nothing to do with the potential for misuse of material - it's more that I don't have the time to correspond with people that I don't know - I barely have enough time for family and close friends, without indulging in meaningless relationships with cyber 'friends'.
