Oh so we shouldn't get upset then because someone gets arrested on such a trivial accusation, by a group who have their own axe to grind. //
I think the debate about the seriousness of the accusation is a side issue, but as far as Ms. Hopkins being arrested for her ludicrous posturing - I imagine she will see it as a badge of honour!
Were she someone who has been wrongly accused of making racial inferences (and as I said, that is a separate issue), then I would be the first to leap to her defence.
However, if you make our highly paid living out of making scattergun contentious observations in national newspapers, then you must accept approbation, ridicule, and where applicable, arrest, as occupational hazards of your chosen career path.
