Typo of the week Jordy.

So how long should a new mother stay in confinement?
Jordy - what do you expect mothers to do? Never leave the house until the baby is weaned?
What about wet nurses?
I think there is an opening slot in the market here for the sale of Anti-Tit glasses for those persons who object to the sight of a bare boob in their immediate vicinity.
It's only a very few that would get the boob out. All the breastfeeding ladies I've seen do it under cover. There is no need to expose anything. People still seem to dislike the fact that a baby is being fed in public.

Naomi - //andy-hughes, the fact that you and the complainers agree doesn't make you - or them - necessarily right. //

I have not suggested that it does, once again you seem to be seeing points that I am not making.

//In my opinion people who jump on these sorts of bandwagons do lack a sense of humour. I think I'm allowed to say that .... but if I'm not I've no doubt you'll tell me. //

I think you are being sarcastic - and if you are not, no doubt you'll tell me.

That harks back to my earlier point - I was speaking to a lady who was feeding her baby, and I had no idea!

If women are making a big issue out of flopping out their breasts and clamping the baby on, then I would judge that as inappropriate behaviour - simply because it is making a visual spectacle where there is absolutely no need - and that is attention-seeking, never an attractive proposition.
I've breast fed 3 kids so know there is no reason to expose yourself.

A group of us were at my friends. The men were in the kitchen and the girls were in the living room. I started to feed my son completely covered in a sheet. One of the men walked in and was horrified even though he couldn't see anything. He thought I should take the baby upstairs. He was told to shut up!

And so he should!

Feeding a baby is not a contagious condition!

No attention seeking here andy.......bottom left in black with left boob completely exposed and ha kid looking about 4 yrs old looking bewildered at what he was supposed to do with it LOL

O.K I have been a bit naughty and picked my example carefully....;-)

Of course you have - a number of these children are well past weaning age - so it is a group of exactly the sort of attention-seekers who are getting normal mums a bad name!
/// I dispute that I am 'brainwashed' by anyone, and at approaching 61, I well remember the days before political correctness got out of hand. ///

Well at least we are making progress, at least you are admitting the political correctness has got out of hand.

/// No it's not the same thing - which is why I was at pains to illustrate the difference - the man in the pub's views are heard by anyone within a ten-foot radius who is interested in listening, a radio presenter has an audience of tens of thousands. ///

The people in the pub within the ten-foot radius, have no alternative to listening to the man's views (unless of cause they leave the pub) but the radio listeners who get annoyed or may object to the man's views, can always change stations or turn off their radios.

It is that easy, I do it all the time when I hear some of the Leftist bile that is sometimes spewed out, by Leftish radio stations and some of their broadcasters.
It was just his opinion which he happened to share with others. When did that become a crime?
He hasn't been arrested!!

DAVE50 - //It was just his opinion which he happened to share with others. When did that become a crime? //

It's not a crime - but it is inappropriate for someone in his position to use the medium of radio to peddle personal offensive opinions - and for that he has been suspended.

If it was a crime, he might have been helping the police with their enquiries.
And you think it is right to suspend him, andy?
Question Author
Talbot - //And you think it is right to suspend him, andy? //

Yes, I think it is the correct action.

I am sure that somewhere in his contract, there will be a clause about not causing gratuitous offence by offering controversial public opinions over the air - and on that basis, he has been suspended.

Of course I am surmising, but I think my theory is reasonable.
I am surprised that this thread is still going, although I am not trying to stifle debate in any way !

Alex Dyke is complete tw6t who deserves to lose his job over this entirely avoidable affair. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever, and even less sympathy for anybody that is trying to defend him.

Interesting how you think this man should be suspended for his opinions, Katie Hopkins shouldn't be allowed opinions and white Dee's opinions are such that
nobody should take any notice of her opinion on just about anything.

Yet we should sit and listen to Anjem choudary as it will be an opportunity to learn something.

Odd!
That was to andy (of course)

mikey forgets his own misogynistic comments and over-reacts once again.
