In my area we had a St John Ambulance training centre that was no longer needed by them. It was taken over by Muslims as a "community centre" but soon it turned out it was being used as a mosque (without permission) causing massive traffic jams in the area.
The hate and bile and anger against Muslims in the area, and in the local media, was unbelievable, and eventually a man dumped some pigs heads in the door of the building.
While this is a small local case, it is just one example of growing tension between the "locals" and "immigrants".
Soon it will boil over (not sure which country) and we will have local riots eventually, then civil war. We have already seen protests in Germany and other counties, and it will get worse.
Europe is on a long downward spiral.

There are some good things that the EU have bought about, so why choose this one? Especially in the current climate where is is as plain as the whole in your ass that free movement is causing massive immigration issues.
What a Junker!

//Keeping our external borders secure has been a great failure. //
Sorry, but what utter nonsense you speak.
Opening borders does not assist trade or tourism (business is in effect trade so just you trying to make it look better). We are quite able to trade with Europe without allowing any Manuel, Gunther or Abdul to walz in unchecked.
