Well he might have a point. I don't suppose that the U.S. Internal Home Security have dubbed our UK capital as Londanistan without reasonable cause.
So many of our our so called British born citizens (Anchem Choudary et al) disperse themselves,along with their relatives, over the world with their British Passports and after all Canada is part of the Commonwealth.
I mentioned on a previous thread my family got the 3rd degree from US immigration at the Niagara/Buffalow border point. My sister with her Canadian passport was left alone but those Limeys are potential terrorists.
Can't blame the Yanks really but I or my English family have nothing to hide. !!

Retro, to many Americans, people who talk "funny" are, of course, potential terrorists. And you, as you say Limeys, do talk funny (or is it funnily?). We Canadians are pretty good at mimicking their accent(s) so they jolly well leave us alone, old chap.

Canada is part of the continent of N America, so to that extent Canadians are Americans, just as Indians and Japanese are Asians.

JD, yes. When we visit there we are to to the "States". Most British people, at least on here, say that they are go to visit "America", which as you suggest could really refer to quite a few countries, especially if you include Central and South America.
