Then they should make their way to the nearest safe country mikey- I'm crap at geography but I'm pretty sure the UK isn't the nearest one.

It's the Governments of the fleeing persons that's causing this very big issue, I think the Governments of the world should start doing something to solve the Issues.
oh dear...the more we let in the more will come...the swarms will turn into if not already plagues...whilst the syrians are coming in people will be distracted by all the africans and others still flooding in here

havent the lessons with blacks and asians, muslims from god knows where, been learnt...windrush, idi amin, look what 10,000 asians in 1972 turned into, towns completely taken over, whole areas where theres a hardly a white face.

Its plainly clear that this country is finished and most of the blame has to lie with the loony liberal handwringers who welcome it...they are the real disgrace of it all....

and once the syrians are here , theyll soon cotton on to all the various scams and next thing theyll be demanding there "relatives" be allowed in etc etc.

more work for the oooman rights leftie lawyers et al...

R.I.P Great Britian....

The main problem will be the collapse of the infrastructure. No country can build infrastructure in a short time and that is the problem with mass immigration.

This country is already on the bring of a power collapse, labour, and sice then the Lib/Tories failed to build power stations thinking wind would do it. It hasn't.

In addition we are short of housing for the people already in, before we taking into account the masses of legal new commers from the EU. Schools are also creaking and so the NHS. Neither Schools or Hospitals can be built quickly.

If they allow mass immigration into Europe it will collapse into a 3rd world simply because it could not keep up.

As for the UK, you can kiss goodbye to the NHS and your pension.

I wonder how long it will be before all those with a spare bedroom are forced to accommodate (for free no doubt) refugees and economic migrants?
Ron...I predicted that the awful photo of the dead little boy on the Turkish beach would be a game changer, and I was right.

At last, dave pulls his finger out and actually does something.
Mikey
Going to get the spare bed made up are you?
Mikey, taking in immigrants isn't the answer. Dave knows that.
"taking in immigrants isn't the answer. Dave knows that. "

but appeasing the hand-wringers who cant think past the ends of their noses and the implications of letting thousands more in is...

the plagues hitting calais wont be to pleased by the queue jumpers, it will only make them more determined...

oh dear dave , what have you done ?
still mikeys pleased he "predicted it "...kudos......not

So what is the answer then Naomi ? Its continually denied on here, but most of the people leaving Syria, are fleeing for their lives. The whole area is a war-zone. Countries like Jordan and the Lebanon have taken in 100,000's. Germany, Sweden, Denmark, etc have also done their bit to give refuge for these people, but Britain can't do something to help ?
Mikey, but it's not just Syria, is it.... and there will be no end to the influx of people flooding into Europe. We will end up with an unsustainable situation.
/// most of the people leaving Syria, are fleeing for their lives///

you think so???
Before Mikey sings the praises of Lebanon and Jordan he needs to google pictures of the refugee camps there. And there he is thinking they all live in nice cosy little houses - just like the ones he wants built here for them.
Then they should make their way to the nearest safe country mikey- I'm crap at geography but I'm pretty sure the UK isn't the nearest one.
Importing all immigrants wont return the boys life. The father returns to Syria to bury his family, and says.....

"...I want from Arab governments – not European countries – to see (what happened to) my children, and because of them to help people,” he said in footage posted online by a local radio station...."

We surely should be singing the praises of Lebanon and Jordan. Countries far poorer and smaller than our own, but which have been dealing with this situation for years. Jordan's population has actually doubled.
There presence there rather gives the lie to the idea that people are not fleeing to the first "safe" country. That is exactly what they have been doing.
Boo...that will be Greece and Turkey then, and Greece can't cope with any more, given its uncertain finances. The whole world needs to act together here.

The USA has been strangely silent over the refugee crisis....they have infinitely more resources and space to help out.
ichkeria, //There presence there rather gives the lie to the idea that people are not fleeing to the first "safe" country. //

No it doesn't. The rest aren't fleeing to Lebanon and Jordan - they're coming to Europe.
And if they've any sense, they'll stay silent.
"The USA has been strangely silent over the refugee crisis....they have infinitely more resources and space to help out. "

what, you dont think theyve enough problems of their own ?...
