I love parents who moan like this... they chose a school because it has a good reputation. Part of the reason for that good reputation and good exam results is that it has strict rules and those rules are enforced. Expectation of standards of appearance (among other things) are communicated to all those involved with the school. This child has had 6 weeks in order to experiment with her clothes and hair but chooses, with the aid of her mother, to contravene those strict rules the parent has already agreed to ensure her child adheres to ....... and is upset because she is told to sort her hair out before attending ... good grief where do they find these parents...

No....wrong.....I have my awkward moments and will happily break some rules.....but school?
No....it's where children should learn about boundaries, respect and behaviour.
If mum thinks that rule is wrong she should set about getting it changed rather than challenging it in a way that's not good for her daughter's future or character....x
