dave was soundly thrashed last night, with many Tory MPs siding with Labour. This could be the first of many other defeats, and it just shows what a very slim majority the Government has. The Tories bete noire of Europe is rearing its ugly head, yet again.

Nice to see democracy working. This was too important to play party politics with.

I have predicted this situation for a long time now. The Europe issue has brought down Tory PMs in the past and it can happen again. It just shows the slimness of his majority.

John Major had a much healthier majority in 1992 and yet, just 5 years later, he and the Tories suffered their worst defeat. dave only has a majority of just 10 !
Thought Mikey was an EU supporter? Seems not.

My enemies enemy is my friend !
Mikey, I really don't know why Dave doesn't make a point of consulting you. Maybe it's because your crystal ball is often faulty - as it was in the run up to May. ;o)

John Major faced a viable opposition. Who are you supporting for the post of Labour leader?

Mind your own business Naomi !

Respect the secrecy of the ballot box please !
Haaaaa! You are funny! :o)))
Odd thing to say for someone as outspoken in political issues as you are, mikey.

Naomi...you are always being nosy about other people on here, especially me. I have willingly given lots of biographical details out over the years, and yet I know very little, if anything, about you !

As a Labour party member, my vote is nobody else's concern.

Talbot...I have strong views and I am not afraid to voice them...why is that being "outspoken" ?
Democracy needs a strong opposition, but I can't see one.

If there was a general election now, I suspect the Tories would increase their majority.

Have you got a dictionary handy?
Mikey, you offer your views willingly - no one forces you. Can't help thinking you're keeping quiet on this one in case you get your fingers burnt - again. ;o)

//I know very little, if anything, about you //

And that's how it will stay.
Here we go, a good post getting knocked as usual.
What do you think then, TWR?
Have you spotted any irony in the OP, TWR?
