It has nothing to do with war, Andy. The attack was launched under the principle of self-defence (aka “get your retaliation in first").
Lord MacDonald, former Director of Public Prosecutions, said “[the killings] were legal and justified. It is appropriate to invoke the principle of self-defence and to target them”
Meanwhile in another Universe, Kate Hudson of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (quite what it has to do with them I don’t know as I didn’t think that anybody had been Nuked) said “This is an extra-judicial killing. A British Prime Minister now claims the right to kill British citizens when they travel abroad”.
I know which version I prefer but I’ll watch out for drones when I go for my week in Benidorm! :-)
