It certainly isn't madam, why should white families pay more for their dolls.

/// Okay thanks. That's why I mentioned it- the same point has been raised and discussed before. But I suppos ethere's no harm in raising it again if there are no real news issues to support one's agenda/obsession ///
That s the real point to my thread, which some of you obviously don't or do not want to understand.
It is other's obsession/agenda to play the race card at every possible opportunity.
Obviously went it is shown to them in black and white, it touches a few raw nerves.

Not read all the posts but Just Jude caught my attention re eye n nose size....forensic anthropologists use orbit shape, head shape and nasal cavity sahpe as regional identifiers.
Ethically African people have a wider nasal cavity and a slightly wider space between the eyes - so maybe the makers of these toys have been taught by forensic anthropologists.
Not sure if anyone's said it but so pervasive are western values that many children of colour pick pink dollies to play with.

/// Name one other ABer who starts threads on the subject on a weekly basis. ///
Funny enough threads on race, Immigration, Islam and homosexuality seem to attracted to highest number of replies.
Without ABers posting on those subjects the News section would be dead. But having said that if my posts upset others so much, why do they bother to get involved?

/// Your OP automatically assumes that only white people buy white dolls. As certain answers have shown, this is incorrect so your post was flawed from the start. ///
I cannot see why that makes my post flawed in any way whatsoever.
But doesn't the NEWS story tell us that because the White Dolls cost more, some assume that Black Dolls are viewed as less worthy, therefore in their eyes, racist?
The whole point of my thread.

My question is neither silly nor pedantic but very relevant to your stance on the issue. Sometimes you use phrases which give your real feelings away. Come on it's a simple question, why did you say white family, when you could have just said 'people'? You have claimed in the past that you choose your words carefully
