Meanwhile they do nowt about Islamic State who are a more immediate threat to us. That is left to the Russians. The US have a lame duck President and a lame duck Middle East policy.

Perhaps we are only hearing about these fantastic successes in Adghanistan to distract us from IS takings pounding by the Russians?
" UK Special Forces kill 200 Taleban insurgents " is almost certainly untrue. The combined efforts of The Afghan Army, NATO and US air strikes have killed 'upto' a total of 200 insurgents. The SAS/SBS have not killed them all.

Government officials said on Thursday morning that the military had taken back key offices and as many as 200 Taliban fighters had been killed in the operation. //

Details such as this should never be made public during on-going operations, never used to be the case.
