Is Britain Racist?

Did anyone watch this programme on BB3 last night, if so what are your views?

I thought it was bias against white non Jewish people, the reason being, it chose to illustrate the reactions against a black male, a Muslim woman and a Jewish male, in predominant white areas.

For a more balanced view on racism in Britain, why didn't it also show the reaction towards a white person in predominant black, and Muslim areas?

No I didn't watch it. I presumed, probably incorrectly, it'd just be an attempt to claim we are all racist simply for having genuine concerns about immigration and other issues. I didn't consider that would be entertaining TV.

I do think that in the UK we have a subtext that its thought ok by many people to say "I'm not racist but....." I'm not against fat people but......and so on.

Racism -the doctrine that one's own racial group is superior or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.

Looking at the different cultures now in Britain I think the Muslim community and to a lesser extent Jewish community are more guilty of the above type of thinking than British Caucasians , mainly due to Religious reasons.

Racism is a one way street with an industrial estate at the end of it where new and more convoluted rules are made from the life essence of normal people.

I don't think we are racist generally, I think we are inflicted with a lot of "witch hunters" who see racism in every little nuance. There are some true racists out there and they don't all wear a "uniform" but the vast majority are reasonable people, often accused of "isms" of all kinds by the self appointed "correct" thinkers.

I think we are not as tolerant as we could be. We seem to of generated a blame culture. Because we see 1 person on some stupid tv programme or newspaper article claiming benefits or whatever we believe that all people in a similar situation are doing the same.
