On the subject of 'feet firmly in mouth' from politicians - a few days ago Sajid Javid visited Teeside with the usual platitudes about the closure of the steelworks at Redcar. He ended with reassurances about investment and retraining for the newly unemployed and added that the benefits of this would extend to the neighbouring areas in the NORTH-WEST!!!!!
Any wonder I don't have any confidence in the 'Northern Powerhouse'?
