The report is serverely edited in the Daily Mail article, and its conclusions have been totally ignored.

For example, the Mail gives us the first half of this paragraph...

But omits the rest of the paragraph...

There is little need for the Mail to print the whole of the report, since it still would not alter the fact that about half of the prison population are Muslim.

Having worked in a prison I know that around 30% of inmates are Muslim.
I do not know why but it is a fact that the % of Muslims in prison is far higher than the % in the general population.
It is a major problem for prison chefs who are restricted in using pork (a cheap source of protein) and are forced to produce 'suitable for Muslims' options at every meal, from a very small budget.

There are 80,000 UK prisoners of which 11,000 are muslim. So muslims are just over one eighth of the prison population.

All the Mail have done is find the prison with the highest number of muslims and write about it. The % of this prison's Asian population is significantly higher than the other 7 category A prisons for serious criminals, so rather than it being random, it probably means that this prison is being specifically allocated the most dangerous Asian prisoners.

Whilst there may be no substance or statistics regards that post I suppose we can forgive marshwarble for that assumption after seeing a video clip of a London bus with standing room only but not one white face on the bus.
Easy assumption to make I suppose but not one to make unless you are the liberal elite.

The London bus video was on another thread (2 video clips actually) regarding 2 mouthy racist women. The clips are on the Racist,Xenophobic rude etc thread in News. You watch the clip and you will see that two posters made the same observation. A bus in the Metropolis of a white christian country fully laden with no white christian face on it.It seems that some get uptight when that TRUTHFUL observation is made.

I worked in an open prison and the % Muslim was over 30% as it is in some other prisons. Whatever source you quote the % Muslims in jail is at least twice the % in the general population and it is a source of serious concern

Also remember the % Muslims in the population is both male and female while the Muslims in jail are overwhelmingly male .

Why? Why should anybody in prison (or indeed anywhere else) be compelled to understand other people's faiths? Why should the faith practised by anybody else even be made known to others? I have no faith whatsoever. Only people I have chosen to tell know this. I don't know my next door neighbours' faiths, they don't know mine. Even if I di know theirs I have no wish to "understand" them. I respect their beliefs, but that's as far as it goes. I don't want to know about them, I don't want the details, I don't want to know or understand what it is they feel the need to do on Sunday mornings or Friday afternoons. People should keep their faiths to themselves and not annoy others with them.
