Aren't you glad you voted Tory!
Question Author
I certainly didn't.
I said Tory, not conservative. I consider UKIP to be more Tory than the Cons.

I thought the same. Put in an application for ridiculous size knowing refusal imminent, re-applying after each downsizing. Giving the appearance of reasonable request. It's an old trick, but works. They must be curtailed, or be prepared for you grandchildren to have to face Mecca.

///Tablighi Jamaat is an ultra-conservative and separatist group which believes that Muslims should not integrate into non-Muslim society///

Rather begs an obvious question, me thinks.
/// White extremist groups, including the BNP and EDL, campaigned online against the plans. ///

Seems a very strange way of describing two far-right protest groups.

/// highly controversial plans by the Tablighi Jamaat sect – accused by some of being a gateway to terror ///

Do we want these people at all?

Good news indeed, though it will of course be interpreted by Islamists as Islamaphobia. Yet if a billionaire 7th day Adventist too had wanted to build a church 3 times the size of St Pauls he would also have been turned down, neither would be on religious grounds, simply that such a construction would be inappropriate for the region.

Really god news, but I hope that as some on here say, it's not the start of getting a small one built. We already have enough mosques in this country.
^ 'good' not 'god' !!
"We have enough mosques in the country".

Most atheists would agree with that.
I recall several years back asking about how many newly built mosques were in the vicinity of ABers as opposed to churches, chapels etc.
There were answers like, why ?does it matter? whats your point etc.
One regular ABer said words to the effect,"I have no problem with the Mosque built just down the road from me but I have a big problem with the bells fom the Christian church on Sunday waking me up"
When I asked if his residency pre dated the church construction the British Gentleman failed to reply. I still await. :-)
I'm sure there are more but I only know of one mosque near where I live whereas there are at least 5 churches closer to me, a few just minutes away.
A few Mosques near me and even more Churches of all faiths.
