I shouldn't worry too much. The bits of the UK that Our Dave's not selling to the Chinese, he's busily selling off to Ex-Soviet oligarchs. So, immigrants or not, it won't be your country for much longer anyway.
@TheChair

Quite so. It hasn't been 'our' country ever since it was invaded, in 1066 and parcels of land were handed out to William's cronies, for (military) services rendered.

Okay, so our feudal overlords did let us buy freehold land plots, in recent centuries but that is the limit on our say so on what overseas oligarchs can snap up. We're all priced out our own capital city these days!

We must make it our mission to introduce these oligarchs to fish and chips and Chas and Dave.
I bet that is exactly what the ancient Britons said, when they saw those Roman ship anchored off Kent in 55 BC and 54 BC.

Ruddy Romans...coming over here and trying to change our ways, with their wine, rabbits, hot baths, good roads, garlic, and law and order !
'European culture' like Hitler, Napoleon, Franco and Mussolini? are we worse off for their disappearance?
Answer to OP - I can't gainsay your postulation (sorry, it was the only word I could come up with, I've not been very well today and brain is a bit fuzzy).
Haven't read other posts, will do so now.

Many thanks for your trouble.Rushing off for a CT scan now. Will read with interest and give my comments later.
Thanks again ///

No problem, all the very best regarding your scan.//

Many thanks for your best wishes. Just a routine to check Mr C hasn't come back to visit me :-)

I read those links with amazement. I cannot understand how Murky Merkel allows that to happen to her own electorate. I feel she may not have long in the world of politics or life with that attitude to her own Germans.
Makes a mockery of the title of the German national anthem doesn't it ,"Deutschland Uber Alles". If I was being oiked out my flat for immigrants I would pen a letter to the Reichstag pronto demanding the anthem be re named " Deutschland Arscloch die Welt"
:) retrocop. Hope all is well.

Alles ist gut danke :-) Just a routine double check for me.1) ensure my Aorta is not enlarging and about to pop 2) Follow up check re Mr C. I had a colonoscopy about 10 days ago and all was fine. I go to the RMH at the end of this month to discuss the latest test results with the oncolgists. I have every confidence that my usual Christmas fun and frolics with my dear family will be the same with no bad news to mar it. Even if the news wasn't good my philosophy is you don't get to heaven unless you die first. .! Thanks for your concerns. I hope to be a thorn in some sides for a good while longer. lol

Ha ha, very good. Now how about a list of what your RoPer friends will be enriching us with.
I'll start you off;
1) Homophobia
2) Misogyny
3) Terrorism

Careful, svejk. You might wake him up.
@Retrocop

I tried Google translate and reckon you meant to write "Arschloch der Welt".
