The economy of places like California would plummet overnight. If these 11 million people were white Canadians, we wouldn't hear a peep out of him.

It seems to me he is just playing to the lowest common denominator here...good old fashioned racism and discrimination.

I don't think he's fully though this out. The Latino vote in the US is increasingly important.
We're on track to see the first lady president in the White House.

Who knows what he thinks, I mean if he thinks that hairstyle is ok he's capable of anything imo.
//....plan to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants from the US ..//

Undocumented. I assume that means people who are in the US illegally and therefore have no vote?

He's talking about the whole of the US - not just California.
I disagree with your statement on white Canadians. Many Americans dont like them either, especially the Frenchies.

Playing to the lowest denominator? Here we go again, name calling putting people down who disagree with you and hey, of course the Race card.

Many people in many countries have an issue with mass uncontrolled immigration, they are not racists, they simply worry how a country and it's infrastructure will cope. It's true Trump plays on this but he is clearly not alone in his thinking.

The one thin I do find odd about Americans is their view on foreigners, when pretty much all of them can trace their routed back to being an immigrant!

Sandy has it right here. The Latino vote is now very important in the States and anybody that ignores it or is disrespectful is plain daft. As times goes on, he is getting more and more angry and less intelligent. He is now a figure of fun.

Trump seems to be sleepwalking to defeat here.
But Mikey - the people he's talking about are 'undocumented'. I assume 'undocumented' people don't have a vote, so that isn't an issue.
The 'illegals' wouldn't have the vote but attempts to deport them would alienate much of the Latino community that did.
So you concede to that?
11 million out of a population of nearly 320 million.

Trump wont win and I dont really understand your obsession with him
Question Author
Naomi...see Sandys post above. If the Latinos see him as stupid and racist, they won't vote for him. He has now alienated millions of people...latinos, women, etc.
Question Author
YMB...well, at least we agree about one thing then !
//If the Latinos see him as stupid and racist, they won't vote for him.//

So should he concede to that?

(He's got no chance anyway - but this is a point of principle).

Why do the Republicans continue to choose these weirdos ? Last time it was Palin and the Magic Underpants Man. Isn't there any normal, electable people that they can choose from ?
Really Sandy?

From what I have seen directly from people of another background in the UK is that they despise illegals even more than I do. They have had to fight for their place in the Nation and are contributing heavily in taxation whilst illegals break all the rules and bypass the taxation.

So whilst some will take umbridge I am sure it wont be the majority of the 17% of Hispanic/Latino population.
//Why do the Republicans continue to choose these weirdos ?//

So why did labour choose one then?
Question Author
Ruddy hell...two people on here agreeing with me ! I might have to go and have a lie down !
By normal electable do you mean someone who shares YOUR views rather than trys to reflect the views of people in another country?
'Concede'? It's obvious the illegals' won't have a vote. What's to concede?
Mass deportations, people disappearing from their communities, it has something of the stench of Germany of 80 years ago about it.
//What's to concede? //

His principles - under pressure from the people you say won't vote for him.
Accoding to this Ben Carson is (marginally) more popular. Do you prefer him or is he a wierdo?
