I agree with sunny-dave, I think Trident is a hugely expensive folly.

I have no time for the Cons whatsoever but we must keep trident, it is the ultimate deterrent.

Once again I see posters defend their party of choice regardless of actual facts. The Cons were cutting the armed forces left right and centre just before the Falklands war. Thatcher could not even find the time to listen to Henry Leach when he tried to warn her of the folly of the cut backs ... of course she was all ears once the Argies had invaded!
Its dave that has his back to the wall these days, not Corbyn. The right-wing gutter press has tried its best to ridicule him on every available occasion, but all they can come up with is that he didn't bow deeply enough last Sunday !
The press didn't have to come up with it, we saw for ourselves on TV. The nod was the reaction of meeting a stranger, not paying homage to the dead millions.
Mikey, //Its dave that has his back to the wall these days, not Corbyn.//

Dream on! Corbyn is an embarrassment. Have you forgotten how many Labour MPs didn't support his rise to fame? Why, even you, usually so forthrightly verbose in airing your opinions, declined to tell us who you were supporting. He behaves like a petulant child kicking against authority. He’s out of his league and he will be gone before the country next goes to the ballot box – that’s if Labour can find someone half capable – and looking at the current options, that’s a big ‘if’.
Mikey, if I would have been in the position of those selfish Politicians, I would have gladly given my Lunch to one of the veterans,
TWR, why would they want your lunch?
If I would have been one of those greedy Politicians, I would have up my lunch, some old Veterans could never afford that sort of meal Naomi.
Your heart is in the right place, TWR, but your suggestion isn't practical.
That's the trouble with Practicality Naomi, all MPs don't think like that.

As much as people think of him Bouncer I think he's a very shrewd person, listen's, wait's, Analyze, Strikes, & it works.
But, TWR, it's not practical.

//Plenty of Conservatives voted for Mr Corbyn //

Haha! Just as well for him they did! If it had been left to his own party, he'd still have been a nonentity. That's what I call shooting YOURSELF in the foot, Bouncer. :o)
Just because one maybe a pacifist does not mean one has disrespect for those who have fought or died in War.
