Jezza has a big mandate, a clean win, it simply insults the Party's electorate to not even give the bloke a fair crack at it.

Because he seems to have been elected leader with the express desire to make the Labour Party the unelectable laughing stock of the political world.

And it's working lol

Most Labour MPs know this and that is why they are gathering momentum on voicing that. It is only those 'with a role' they would never have had that are star struck.

Labour have lost the last 2 General Elections so more of the same Blairite policies is not an option. The voters can see through it and won't vote for it. The right wing press would love to see a civil war in the Labour Party, so they are actively encouraging the Blaitite bad losers to tear the Party apart.
I am not sure Corbyn is the right man for the job. He has stumbled and he has made some basic errors. But he has time to improve and get his act together. Corbyn needs to toughen up and put one or two disloyal MPs in their place. And a few de-selections of MPs who now find themselves in the wrong party would also be a good idea in the long run.
Where the carcass is there will the eagles be gathered. Bit over Gromit's he'd, but he can Google it.
Gromit - "... I am not sure Corbyn is the right man for the job. He has stumbled and he has made some basic errors. But he has time to improve and get his act together..."

Basic errors!
That's got to be the understatement of the week.
Eagles or vultures?
^ A reference to the Eagle brothers, I think, sandy.
Hope the biblical reference (made by an atheist) is not lost to the whole audience.
v e,
So you are likening Corbyn to Jesus Christ? Shome Shurely?

// We can now understand that Jesus Christ is the “body” around whom the “eagles” (the Church, His faithful people) will congregate at the resurrection when Jesus returns to this world to rule over all the nations as King of Kings (Revelation 11:15, Zechariah 14:9, Revelation 5:10). //
What a complete surprise...a Socialist elected as the leader of the Labour Party. !
The labour MPs realize that Corbyn will make a labour government an impossibility so they want to replace him with someone who will make an elected labour government a possibility. There is only one problem with this plan...
To use the famous words of the defeated candidate in some American election, 'The people have spoken, the bar stewards'.
Labour is going through the same cathartic process that the Tories did, after their defeat in 1997.

But the big difference is that Labour won in 1997 with a massive majority, whereas dave only won last May with a wafer-thin majority. It took the Tories 13 years and 3 Leadership contests to come back and then only with the LibDems help.

Its likely that dave will have great difficulty in winning the upcoming vote on taking military action in Syria, and he faces the usual grisly war of attrition amongst his own Party, over any in/out vote on Europe. He has already been humiliated in the House of Lords, so its dave that has the bigger problem at the moment, not Corbyn and the Labour Party.

Perhaps dave will step down as Leader sooner rather than later ?

I don't dislike the man personally and if I were one of his close friends, I would be advising him to cut his losses now.
//I were one of his [Dave's] close friends, I would be advising him to cut his losses now. //

And no doubt he'd be very grateful for your advice, Mikey. ;o)
He seems quite a nice chap Naomi ! My advice is free to anybody that requires it, even the Tories.
You old softie, you!
^ Not much deflection there.
Not so as you'd notice. ;o)
Naomi...not all Tories are horrible !

But I traveled back from Town on Monday, seated next to a Junior Doctor who works in the Bristol Children's Hospital, and you should have heard her
on the subject of Jeremy Hunt ! She nearly made a james Naughtie-type slip of the tongue.
//Naomi...not all Tories are horrible//

Either an old softie - or you're wavering.
No, just being honest. I would have thought you would have approved of honesty Naomi ?

After all, didn't you admit that you once used to vote Labour ?

If dave has got any sense, he will do as he said he was going to do and step down. He is a lame duck Tory Leader. Then we can all enjoy the new Leadership contest.

I am looking forward to that !
