No reduction in Tax Credits. No reduction in policing. All the protest on AB, yet no-one congratulating the Chancellor. What about the Shadow Chancellor? Oh dear.

I think its a shame he bowed to pressure, thanks to labour we pay far too much out in tax credits - it needs to be cut and cut now!

Is anyone else starting to feel a bit sorry for the Labour Party?
No
Why ?

They're embarrassing.
I think its a shame he bowed to pressure, thanks to labour we pay far too much out in tax credits - it needs to be cut and cut now!
But I still don't know why - shouldn't there be a link ?

I can't give a link to Mc Donald's ramble. He's only just sat down. But one will follow. ;-)http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34915218

From what I read in some papers earlier today with some Lie and Bore MPs the penny has finally dropped and they have accepted that Cor bin Laden is an utter embarassment and has to go or they really are doomed...he'll be gone soon you can bet your shirt on it...
Just checked myself Svejk, says he backed down on tax credits because of a TORY revolt and yes, I'm glad there's to be no reduction in policing.
and regarding the u-turns...you can twist it any which way, but at the end of the day there isnt a person on the planet, let alone a politician that hasnt made any....

still it will give the left something else to harp on about now when the money has to be found somewhere else....

McDonnell, sorry.
No too keen on 400,000 new homes, bye bye green belt land then ?? And I see he's still going ahead with VAT on womens sanitary products ...
Question Author
U-turns aren't necessarily a bad thing, are they?
Personally, I'd like to see Tax Credits done away with altogether. (and people paid wages they can live on) But, hey-ho.
With respect to tax credits, I can't say I'd be sad to see the back of them either. The problem was only that Osborne appeared to be proposing getting rid of tax creidts before covering the shortfall with increased wages.
yet no-one congratulating the Chancellor. Give us time mate he's only just told us !! Congratulations for daring to change your mind !
I've no intention of congratulating him, he had no choice on tax credits, there was a tory revolt and as for VAT on sanitary products ..... well !!
The tax on ladies sanitary products has been brought up, this tax is not the Tories fault but the EU's, yet another reason to come out.

But to be fair ladies are not the only ones to suffer, men's razor blades are taxed at a larger amount, in fact they're taxed at 20%. 15% more than tampons.

Not forgetting most men shave every day, whereas the ladies only pay their tax once a month.

Shaving is not necessary though is it?

Whereas tampons and such products are a necessity!
>>>What about the Shadow Chancellor? Oh dear.

It was embarrassing hearing him go on and on.

He even got out Chairman Mao's little red book and read from that.

I thought I heard cries from the MPs to "sit down" and I am sure that was from Labour MPs as he was making Labour look ridiculous.

When Abraham Lincoln stood up to give a speech at Gettysburg he only said 600 words and when he sat down everyone was surprised at such as short speech.

Now that 600 word speech is learned by every US child at school.

Sometimes less is more.
