....look at the joy he brought to everybody at the Mildmay, and what a marvelous testament his visit was to his late Mum. Lead on Harry !

Blimey - I didn't think anyone could (or would) use this thread to have a go at Harry! He is a Prince. I am a partial royalist, and a pragmatist. The core members of the royal family have jobs. They are royalty. That's their job. Sniping at Harry for not being on an equal footing as the rest of his unit in the forces doesn't make sense. He's a prince. He absolutely...

/// I am amazed that anyone is bad-mouthing Harry on this issue of the Mildmay. ///

Who is bad mouthing him on that issue?

/// Why all the sour posts AOG ? ///

All? I have posted two until now, and they are not sour posts only a different opinion.

Yes he ticks all the boxes with our female ABers, typical of the general celebrity image trend, a certain good looks along with a cavalier lifestyle and all tied together with the mass admiration of his late mother.

If you want bad mouthing just take note of the flack that his father gets, his only crime to marry a person he didn't love.
AOG - //If you want bad mouthing just take note of the flack that his father gets, his only crime to marry a person he didn't love. //

I think you are being somewhat over-generous there AOG.

His 'crime' if you wish to put it like that, was not just marrying a woman he didn't love, it was keeping a lover throughout his courtship, and throughout his marriage, and making no secret of that fact.

A little more than simply marrying without love - which it appears was down to his father's influence on his sense of 'duty' to the line.

AOG...your first post today, at 09:40 is hardly very supportive and I don't think I am being unnecessarily harsh.....you did come across as sour.

This lad is in the position he is due to no fault of his own. He is the grandson of our serving monarch and the son of the future one. As I and others have pointed out, we are far from being monarchists but Harry should be accorded some thanks and admiration for what he did at the Mildmay yesterday, and that is all I was trying to say this morning.

He is a credit to his Mum and she would be very proud of him if she was still around today.

/// Harry should be accorded some thanks and admiration for what he did at the Mildmay yesterday, ///

And precisely what did he do? He signed the visitors book, cut the cake and shook a few hands, at least his mother did kiss a patient.

Regarding all the smiles etc, any dignity receives them when visiting hospitals etc. I wager a bet that even Jeremy Corbyn would.
Yup.....

Sour.....:o(

///I wager a bet that even Jeremy Corbyn would.///

Steady on AOG, that's pushing it by any stretch of the imagination!

AOG...you couldn't be more sour on this thread if you wanted to be.

/// AOG...you couldn't be more sour on this thread if you wanted to be. ///

Oh but I could, I just seem to have a different opinion to most on here that is all, and you should understand that, since you regularly have a different opinion than most.

Highlighted by how you have been thanking, agreeing and generally kow-towing to those who have the same opinion as you on this particular thread.

Incidentally what did the Prince do at the Mildway, apart from what I have already pointed out? You still haven't answered that.

AOG - Do you have a response to my post at 14:56 regarding Prince Charles' 'only crime'?
What did he do?

Raise morale of staff and patients and the profile of the work they do?????
It can be difficult to quantify the positive impact that a 'genuine' visit from a high-profile person can bring.
It is so much more than pressing the flesh, cutting ribbons and a few photo-opportunities.

You are correct that Corbyn could have done it......but it certainly wouldn't have been received with half as much warmth and pride as when Harry does.
Hear hear jack ....
// They do a proper job ? Any postmen among them ? Plumbers ? IT consultants ?//

telephone sanitisers ... bag carriers ... third assistant to the boss...

Harry follows in mothers footsteps
and starts going to bed with any oily levantine who happens along /
O god I hope not
taking his clothers off in public is bad enough ....

AOg...your last question has been more than adequately answered by everybody else in here. Good Night !

He won't be the first one and he won't be the last. the monarchy have had mistresses throughout history, not to mention the ordinary people who now seem pass masters at the game.
mikey4444

But still no answer from you it seems.

Goodnight

Charles and Camilla get the same degree of warmth and pride, and look what some think of them.
Blimey - I didn't think anyone could (or would) use this thread to have a go at Harry!

That's their job.

Sniping at Harry for not being on an equal footing as the rest of his unit in the forces doesn't make sense. He's a prince. He absolutely cannot be on the same footing...

Anyway mikey4444, I agree with you. He may have made some inadvisable choices whilst younger, but he seems like a bit of a good egg now. My partner met him and Chelsea a few years ago after a show on telly they both went to see - and apparently, Harry is shockingly 'normal'...the kind of royal you could actually imagine having a drink with.

...as long as he's paying...because, y'know - he's loaded.
