Goodnight Davemano...sleep tight x
I will - just don't like slanging matches, they are not appreciated.
I'm with you Dave, Slanging matches are so common. Night, sleep tight x
Even though he's dead he can still be tried in the court of public opinion. Liz Dux, the lawyer for six of the people who claimed he abused them, should ensure their accounts are fully aired in the press.
And didn't Janner transfer assets to family members to try and put them beyond the reach of the courts? That should be looked at too.
'the nattily dressed big cat about town'
Dave's right, Dougal. What a nasty thing to say. (larf)
sandy - I thought your ct of public opinion was a satire
but like all good satires - it wasnt a parody, it was the real thing !

erm if you look at the ct of public opinion on AB I think you will quickly lose confidence. Talk about: if I say it is true then it must be true

andwhat about the ct of public opinion on the BHam bombers or the Guildford bombers or the M5 bombers or the ....

as for his assets - that it a matter oops for the proper courts
first stop I think is a court order preventing the distribution of assets until the civil suits are settled ( a al J Savile )

Recollect that Lord two-dinners Goodman was found to have embezzled £1m of his clients money by the time the dear old boy had died and ....
his relatives paid up. famous goodman - wilson's friend
PP, I'm sure you well remember Lord Goodman's appearance. For those that don't, he was a portly man who would have needed his client's millions to keep body and soul together.

Dahlia_Lama....I see that you are a new comer to AB.

When you have been here a little longer, you will realise that NJ's posts are always interesting and erudite !
It's not the first time NJ has been asked the question. It's also not unusual to be asked about your user name.
//No further comment from me !//

Just a wry grin here.

Iozzy...yes, I thought someone would make the connection !

But I haven't broken the spirit of my promise have I ?
Nope, you have been behaving very well Mikey, go to the top of the class, but don't take a chair with you ;-)
I hold New Judges opinions in high esteem. Retrocop tells it like he see's it.
Can we now all be respectful to each other? Move along now, nothing to see here.
Question Author
I agree David !
May I say that in my experience those who are genuinely well-informed have no reason to attempt to impress by disclosing details of their personal lives or of their academic prowess. They share their proficiency in the knowledge that, to the intelligent reader, their posts speak for themselves. Those intent on creating a ‘persona’ for themselves can claim to be anything they like – but to the intelligent reader their posts speak for themselves too. Ultimately, we are all anonymous.
Dearest Dave, it wasn't my impression of New Judge, it was my addressing 'dandelion'.
Well dressed man about town - Dandy
Big cat - Lion.

Need to watch those sharp elbows buddy.
Interesting spat.

Dahlia_Lama, you ask

''New Judge, just as a matter of interest are you a 'real' New Judge as in a newly qualified one''

Well as New Judge as been on this site for over 8 years with that username your question is redundant.

You then got defensive (or passive aggresive)

''Oh right...it's take a pop at the person who doesn't have the wealth of knowledge that 'everyone' else gleefully has is it?''

At the time you posted that, not one poster had a pop at you. Take mamya's advice and move onwards and upwards!
douglas - I appreciate that you were not referring to NJ as a big cat around town. I know what you meant, but I say again that it does not matter who or what he or she is, the advice given by NJ is always sound.
Would seem Svejk misunderstood also.
