Actually the established religion is Anglicanism or the Church of Englamd - I was quite surprised he didnt mention it

Less than 10% attend church in the UK each week.
Hardly a Christian country.

It was an inclusive 'we' - [ inclusive we and exclusive we are distinguished in the Cree and Algonquin verb systems ... ]

I think separation of Church and State is a good thing ( done in France - laicite even tho it is a RC country )

Well as The Queen holds the title 'Defender of the Faith and Supreme Governor of the Church of England' it would be a little churlish to pull her up on such a message.

The trend is now to emphasise our Christian heritage. I have that the Queen's speech will also be centred on our Christian ethics. Henry VIII was the first to break away from Rome and take the title as Head of Church of England, and it has since been thus. Previously immigrants to this country have been absorbed without any trouble, except for our latest influx, who have demanded special recognition since they landed. There are Muslim countries who do not tolerate other religions. This so called Secular society need to look further into Britains' role in the world as a Christian country.

Whilst I am not religious in the slightest I do bow to the fact that most Britain's consider themselves Christian and that Christianity is the cornerstone of our culture.

Those that come to out shores need to recognize this, as do the trendy left wing moaning and suing at every opportunity when a Christian stands up for his/her beliefs just as they do when a Muslim stands up for theirs.

Unfortunately the chattering classes want to see the demise of the British culture often it seems in favor of our Muslim population, which seems odd since they are the very ones the fundamentalist Islamist want to eliminate.

yes as above, essentially many are not religious as such but centuries of Christianity has ingrained itself in our practices, hence Xmas, Easter etc are important times even for atheists so they have become cultural beyond mere religion. I think that is what the PM is really getting at with this speech.
