Yes, ever wondered why AOG?
Its people like mikey and AH that bring sites like this down..ive seen the same on forums on all sorts of other sites, the odd few that just post the same garbage day in day out and derail just about anything in front of them ...
The AB Editor is best placed to comment on the site as a whole. I can't say I had noticed. A website which probably derives must of its attraction from giving answers to crosswords, quizzes, and resolving cooking and gardening issues might not be one readily associated with Labour Party supporters necessarily, so I doubt if that would worry the folk in AB Towers unduly
There is a bit of a nasty element to some of the posts : some people seem consistently to have got out of bed on the wrong side or want to bully those whose views don't match theirs, but it's pretty mild compared to some places
Certainly the standard of questions has declined....

In the past I have mentioned the concern regards the constant ads & I do understand the site has to be profitable, of late there has been problems of various things, lately I've had issues like a few others of my answers freezing up, this is still occurring!!! going back to the ads I did say a while back that a site I was a member of was on a self destruct course, it did & members were leaving one after an other, I still find this extremely helpful in many ways regards "Help" will anyone take notice? I wonder, is this site on the same self destruct course? that's up to you all out there, you keep leaving there's only one way left, I don't think that I need to say why.

TWR, what has that got to do with "electoralcalculus.co.uk" which is the Site referred to in the OP?
There’s certainly been a marked decline in the numbers of questions in ”Law” and “Motoring”.

A year or two back scarcely a day passed without a question where somebody had been falsely accused of assault, ABH, GBH, Affray and other offences involving violence. In Motoring almost daily there were speeders and careless drivers seeking answers to help them avoid prosecution. I can’t remember the last time I saw one of those.

I think it’s a little unfair to blame one or two individuals for the decline in interest. The two people mentioned have opposing views (one of whom I am usually in tune with, the other not). But both have always responded politely and fairly whenever I have become involved. Life would be a bit boring if we all agreed with each other. There are others with whom I usually disagree quite strongly but I try to maintain a dignified approach to our disagreements and they usually do likewise. I don’t use AB to *** people off or to throw insults and as soon as I see a question degenerate down that road I’m out.

AB is like most things in life – you reap what you sow. But I must admit that the number of questions does seem to have declined recently.

I'll ask NJ the same question I asked TWR.
I think there is a decline in questions in Technology because 'things' work much better and are easier to use than they used to.

I remember the first router I got was a nightmare to set up. Nowadays, it's just a matter of pushing buttons.
"I'll ask NJ the same question I asked TWR."

I've no idea of the connection, Balders. I assumed that the question related to the quantity of questions rather than the quality or content. I haven't looked at the site mentioned. Perhaps it might attract people of a certain political persuasion, but I really don't know.

I've reread the OP a few times, I now think the true intent of it is as open to debate as any similarly sourced OPs tbh.
If you need an example of sheer arrogance, you need look no further than the post at 15:22 today. Apparently the small number of left-wingers on here are the cause of a problem, if indeed a problem exists at all, which I doubt.

Apparently all that I and AH have to do is to remain silent and everything will be OK !

It ain't going to happen, so get used to it. I will post whatever I like whenever I like, and I expect AH will say the same.
Oooo...I've just read this......two things really stand out on this site about both Mikey and Andy Hughes.......they're polite whether you agree with them or not.....x
Quite right, mikey.

Whilst we disagree on many things (except, perhaps, steam trains!) I will always defend your right to state your point of view (and hopefully you mine).
Thanks gness !

We have some on here that don't know the meaning of the word polite. One or two of them get their posts removed on a regular basis and one actually said, after his nasty and highly personal post was removed, that he knew that it would be removed but he also knew that I would read it first, and that was the main thing !

Childish, yah-boo behaviour in the extreme. I bet people like that were like those horrid little boys that would run up behind you in the playground, pinch you nastily and then run away and hide !
NJ ...I look forward to your posts as they are always very well written...education will always win out in the end !
I assumed the OP was talking about this site:

Wind your necks in people!
Naomi...thanks for that link....I wasn't aware that EC was still being updated.

But if EC was wrong before the May election, perhaps it might be wrong now as well !

Your link gives the Tories 347 and Labour 218.

Naomi
That's what I thought @ 15:48 and 15:51 but by 16:03 I'm not so sure!
