Why Is It Always Left To The Right To Protest About Such Things?
71 Answers
We hear much condemnation against those who protest over situations that could in time affect us all.
These protests are called right wing protests, and those joining in and taking part are labelled fascists, Nazis, racists etc.
Why is this, and why is it that those on the left of politics are the only ones that are prepared to let our women be raped, our school children attacked, on the way home from trips abroad and others groomed in their own country, without also taking to the streets in protest?

What good would 'Taking to the streets' do for the Calais Immigrant situation? Or the attacks on women in Germany?
The school coach to which you refer got exactly the same treatment that every vehicle going through the Calais terminal is subject to . Your post suggests that it was singled out for attack because it carried a British school party, which is just not the case .
I certainly do NOT support or condone the groups that are doing these things !
Who exactly are 'prepared to let our women be raped' I have not heard of that happening in the UK
I just do not see what good 'taking to the streets' here in the UK would do to help against these acts that are carried out abroad.
If there had for example, been a mass rape of women here in the UK then I am sure that there would have been people 'out on the streets' in protest.
As to children being 'groomed' do you think that happens out in the streets where we could actually witness it and stop it?
The Pegida protest I do agree with but it is far removed from the other problems you suggest we should be 'out on the streets ' to protest against.

It is many a moon since I took part in a protest march and am now not fit or able to do so - not nice to read the implication that not hitting the streets with placards or flags means one is 'prepared' to let these attacks and other atrocities take place.
There are many ways to sound one's protest - as for marches as long as they are peaceful and meaningful there is nothing wrong with them.
For all of you who are going on a protest march or rally - be safe.
