In fact it is a meeting held in the city of London organised by a TV company, to which MPs are invited. ( no doubt with loads of free food and booze on offer)
Hardly worth commenting on ,just more free publicity for a well known actor.
I actually take issue with his stance that failure to secure acting roles on TV is down to his skin colour. At least 95% of would be actors / actresses fail to get work in film and theatre but it is due to there being far, far more
people looking for work than there is work available, only the very best 'make it' but they do not put it down to skin colour. It is quite normal for there to be 200, 300 or more actors / actresses wanting to audition for every part available.

Just seen the program and found that Idris Elba got his 'break' in TV due to a grant and training from 'The Prince's Trust'. I can not see how that equates to a bias against coloured actors ! Or why he said he had to go to the USA to get a start in acting.
He seems to be suggesting a sort of positive discrimination where an acting role is allocated by skin colour rather than by talent.

Baz...that post was highly offensive and I have reported it as such.//

I don't believe that post was "highly offensive". No more than your post last week about Denmark shaving the hair of immigrants to stuff mattresses and extracting their gold teeth. Now I found that offensive and I told you I thought it was,
You will notice I let it stand because, heaven forbid,I may be accused of stifling debate because of a different view to mine???
Anyhow Baz got it all wrong. Delivering large portions of chips rather than pizzas would be more appropriate in this case.
In case any of you are unaware. Our ENGLISH literature has already been barstewardised by Black actors.
R.L. Stevenson's latest film version of Treasure Island had Billy Bones played by a black. Many Shakesperean plays now introduce black actors playing white roles.
Richard 11 (RSC) Chuk IWUJI (Duke of Gloucester?
Ann OGBOMO (RSC) played Lady in Richard 11
Tempest was played by a very black cast (it was set in Africa)
Chuk Iwuji (RSC) Richard 111 played Ghost of Henry VI (Irony there me thinks)
Wela Frasier (RSC)Marquis of Dorset. Richard 111.
