I read a horrific story today around the death of a 13 month girl and subsequent investigation.
These sort of stories sickens me to the bone. I expected it to be discussed or mentioned on here but nothing!
And yet the punch and judy stuff continues.
I am genuinely confused.

Agree 100% Svejk, OPer has been doing a lot of this lately.
Heart sink words Sandy

the coroners' officers are taking on a lot more work
but it seems all that means is heaving files from one office to another

In Manch - after Shipman - any death in 'the field' that is general practice is investigated - and all it seems to mean is civil servants shuffling around looking over their shoulders and when challenged whisper 'Shipman you see....'

my grandparents were buried about four days after their deaths ( on the same night ) and my father was cremated on the Wed after his death on Sun in 1974

One of my tenants -we got a death cert six months to the day ( statutory maximum ) after his death. Oh there was codeine in his blood and it was very suspicious.... well no it wasnt as his GP had prescribed it.
Oh I cant comment on that

oh dear I am out of sorts

I'm just very pleased there is to be a second inquest in to the death of this little girl.

If a crime has been committed then maybe the person responsible will be charged and tried.
The real sickening thing is that the 'Police' have not pursued a prosecution or a full on tabloid exposure of their intent to do so. No trawling of past aquaintances, appeals for information. I could weep.... C.P.S. ?
Re the story. Half the Daily Mail responses want him hanged and the other half think hanging's too good.
And yet, I saw elsewhere, that 3 medical experts said she hadn't been interfered with and the coroner seemed to agree with them. (and the police)
On the face of it, it seems an extraordinary statement by the family court judge. It's all very odd.
I don't understand how they can state in the media that the father did this but are not able to bring any charges.
Is this the case that you mean Gav ?

I heard this being discussed on the Today Program this morning, and it seems a bit odd. If there is now evidence that her father did sexualy abuse her, the case must be reopened surely ?
I usually find if there's no link, it's in Mail Online. It is totally horrific Gav, especially when you see the beautiful picture of the little love. Chills me to the bone really. I hope and pray the father is charged and prosecuted now.
