"Devastating Beckett report reveals Labour lost the election over the economy, welfare and immigration"
but apart from that what do you think was the real cause that labour lost Mararet ? (think of the famous Monty Python sketch here ! )
Im guessing they paid money for someone to come up with that report ! mugs...
a twelve year old, possibly younger could have told them that for free...its unlike labour to waste money...oh hold on !

He never got over the impression that he was the leader who shouldn't really have been. He wasn't even the right Miliband. Elected by the 'left wing' unions rather unfairly. And he has that intellectual geekiness that British people are so suspicious of
As for real left wing policies that's a joke. See the current manifesto for that.
Ironically he was so hung up about the way he was elected that he was instrumental in having the rules changed: to something worse. That is his real legacy and it's quite an impressive one :-)

J.C. might have come over as a fresh start to Labour, but he's certainly let party down with his stupid statement, with respect to J.C. labour has as much chance of winning an election than "Nessie" appearing for an interview, D Milaband (????) had the right Idea's but was beaten by his weak brother, I'm not go to start a slagging Match but think D.C. & his Cronies are going too far, too Quick, & too soon, they have turned a lot of the British Public against them & in some cases Hatred with their policy's, they want to start getting their foolish act together! why? we are becoming the laughing stock of the world with D.C.s back tracking.
Mr Corbyn is the next in a long line of leaders who are principled men, but are utterly unelectable because the public cannot see them as leaders - Mr Foot, Mr Kinnock, Mr Milliband, and now the current incumbent.
Policies matter not a jot, be they sensible or lunatic, if the figurehead delivering them is not believable as a leader of the country - and that is why Mr Corbyn will be jettisoned well before the next election.
The situation was summed up wonderfully in the episode of Auf Wiedersehn Pet, when the lads voted for a colour for the hut to be painted.
Having reached a decision - one of them opined - "So everybody gets what nobody wants ..." to which the sage reply was - "That's democracy ..."
It is the current Labour Party position as a comedy exchange - but there is nothing funny about it when it is a real life situation!

Canary - //Another example of the Tory Faithful attacking Labour as a smokescreen to divert attention from their own appalling record. It won't work chaps, the British Electorate will see through you by the next election. //
I could take offence at being referred to as 'the Tory faithful ...' !!!!!!

The Labour Party, if they want to get back into power one day, must persuade the British voters to forget what a mess they made of the economy. It is difficult to forget a financial shambles if it disadvantaged you personally - if you lost your job or savings you might never forget, never vote labour again.
"persuade the British voters to forget what a mess they made of the economy"
depending on the age, thats a lot of labour terms of mucking up, and thats being polite, to forget !..for some people its going back around 9 decades worth...its easier to just work on the basis its what they do best, fruk up the economy, its all they ever do, its a given if they get power thats one of the end results..

Baz, with my Blinkers off I can see this Government allowing Foreign Companys bying everything in this country, Bruzzels dictating to the UK, Banks screwing the country & leaving the public to pick up their pieces whilst "we are all in it P.M. lets them get away with it" M.P.s Fiddling their Expenses & laughing at the way they get away with it, Unnecessary Trips abroad on First class Flights, Slanging matches will not get this country back on it's feet, but a truthful P.M. will after all the back tracking / lies that he has said Public. mind you, "We are all in it together aren't we whilst they sit in their warm homes with a full belly of food & not going to work on a glass of water".
