Wake up Andy, why was this Issue brought up in the first place? did it come to attention because the Crucifix was causing the person at B.A. from doing her job? or was some tribe has seen something else to moan about, who wants Integration, they came to this Country that's Integration to me, have they tried to Integrate? my rs, it's not us that has the problem is it? or do you think otherwise.
TWR, as stated, this is old news the BA employee used the ECHR and won her case three years ago.

I thought crucifixes were Roman regalia
and you proddies wouldnt be seen erm dead wearing one

and yeah the employer has a dress code and can specify what he likes

how about an employer insisting ALL his work force sport crucifixes
would THAT be OK ?
Thank you Mam, I remember this case & was 100% behind the person, it seem that person's from other country's can not understand our ways, like the spoken Language, they need to learn this before coming here, then expect us to change to suit them.
Peter Pedant - leaving aside your religious slur, which is uncalled for - as I mentioned in my first post, Anglicans are more likely to wear a cross, and Catholics are likely to wear a crucifix - but there are no hard and fast rules.

If you want to be a comedian, why not sign up for an open mic night - you can exercise your idea of humour there - it is often not appropriate on threads on this section.
Would you except all the British work force wearing a Burka.
TWR - //Would you except all the British work force wearing a Burka. //

Not really comparable is it?

Both are worn as a matter of choice, but only one is a discreet symbol of faith and culture.
This is the UK, we have our Customs, we have our ways, don't moan if you can not except it, if you can not except it, easy answer, stop where you are.

"Accept"
Just to be clear: the BA lady in question (not a Catholic or a Protestant but a Copt) - and who in any case was not the focus on the link anyway - fell foul of her employer's dress code. It was nothing to do with non-integrating foreigners.
Thank heaven for the good old ECHR standng up to blinkered British corporate big business eh? :-)
I once wore a Crucifix whilst out (can't recall where now) , a little girl pointed and began to cry. I realised that the image can be seen as macabre to some, so usually a cross will suffice.

But that's the core of the stupidity here - no-one has complained!
I'll get the rope out after tea, Accept, Accept, I must write Except ***, Accept, I must write except OH ***,
Lazy journalism. Old news rehashed. Stirring up the masses by the looks of it.

The choice of words used can completely change the meaning of what you write, if you can't see that then ... .. .
like using 'been' instead of 'being'
Patsy - The Mail ... stirring up the masses ... ??????????????

I cannot believe what I am reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I object to the term 'proddies'. I consider myself to be Christian.
Takes me back to being 10.
Now you know Andy! I do like the ' Daily Wail' crossword tho........
"Peter Pedant - leaving aside your religious slur, which is uncalled for - "
