well that's all right then. elsewhere it's been reported that a leading islamic scholar can justify the raping of non-muslim women by muslim men.

as a society, is the west really multi-kulti? ready to tolerate cultural practices that we might find questionable, or even illegal?

///Also expressed was the opinion that the sex attacks were no more than a dress rehearsal for something much bigger to come.///

Some of us have been saying this for a while now but are dismissed as Racist Knuckledraggers by the 'Welcome All Brigade'
Don't say you weren't warned when it comes to a Town near you!
>>Don't say you weren't warned when it comes to a Town near you!

Much of it is in a town near me - Birmingham.

All Asian schools, Asian ghettos, Huge Mosques everywhere, "IS" supporters and terrorists arrested on a regular basis.

Also the "Trojan Horse" scandal at schools where the Koran was pushed down children's throats at the exclusion of everything else.

It tottaly hate it.

p.s. People on here who don't care about immigration should go and live in Sparkhill (an area about 3 miles from me) for a year. By then end of it you will hate Asians.
Asians? The whole continent of Asians?
As a Brummie born and bred, I deplore what has happened to my birthplace.
Most people were insulated, or looked the other way when the migration started. It he's enveloped vast swathes of our Island. I have no problem if they integrated with our society and customs, but it has become an us or them situation in general.
that is how Muslim men perceive western women. Not news really.
Sami Abu-Yusuf’s remarks/opinions are his personal views. It does not mean that all Muslims agree.

He is presently in a society that tries to tolerate a wide range of behaviours; but what he disapproves of, and uses to excuse the abominable actions of others towards those he disapproves of, can not be reasonably compared to society's in general's, abhorrence of his acceptance of violence. That acceptance/approval/excusing crosses the line, should not be tolerated. It indicates he is unfit to be in the enlightened society where he presently resides.

It is a pity there is not a system that lets societies remove undesirables to outside of their country's borders. But i guess there is always the problem regarding who decides who has gone beyond the Pale, and who is simply having their views oppressed. The legal blurb would have to tie up the criteria very tightly.
Old_Geezer That is the standard position of Islam on rape and women in general it is not just one Iman's view!
Under Sharia law a woman can be divorced for infidelity because she was raped. It is always regarded as the woman's fault.
Only in backward countries. Try a poll here and see what the average Muslim as opposed to the fanatic believes.

"None so blind"
Unless you agree with the viewpoint that absolutely every single Muslim is the same as the one such as the one spouting above - there is zero point in answering these threads.

For you are called many things and not all of them as polite as 'blind'.
I just damn well despair. The religion was born in backward countries and is the doctrine of Muslims who reside in an alien ,to them,Europe.
If a religious scholar can justify this perverted outrage against woman in the name of the sick religion he represents then surely he wouldn't expect women, carrying a pocket pistol in their handbag,to justify blowing these animals to hell in future should they have to defend themselves from these barbarians??

Always polite Mamya
;o)
But if the poll was taken folk would be less blind.

Moderates who adopt the basic western culture, just with a flavour of their own from their homeland, are not a problem. At least no more than migrants from anywhere increasing the excess population are. It's those who will not integrate, who think their original culture/beliefs must be adopted everywhere, and that they can behave in the same unacceptable way that their homeland allowed/approved of, that are the issue.
Question Author
//and that they can behave in the same unacceptable way that their homeland allowed/approved of, that are the issue. //

so, if western society finds that it designates some imported cultural practices as the "same unacceptable way", can it be said that the west is truly multicultural? surely all cultures are equally valid?
mushroom - //surely all cultures are equally valid? //

Clearly they are not, when cultural practises extend to subjugation and assault.

I don't think anyone would seriously suggest that the more extreme attitudes of fanatical clerics should be seen as the model of Muslim culture - they should be treated as they are - the opinions of a tiny minority of extremists, who by no means speak for the majority of people that they claim to represent.

Think 'Donald Trump' - the principle is exactly the same.
// ready to tolerate cultural practices that we might find... Illegal? //

Well, if they are illegal, we are not tolerating them. The New Years eve events are being treated as crimes. That is not accepting the behaviour, it is reacting against it.

I wish to ask all these apologists, if the so called extremists decided to up-rise against this country, who do you think the so called moderate Muslims would support?
Sorry AOG - not qualified to answer that one, I am not an 'apologist'.

AOG,
The expression "Knowing which side their bread is buttered"
comes to mind!
