Seems rather sensible to me. Imagine the furore if similar legislation were even mooted here, let alone implemented?

The foundations of the Schengen agreement are subsiding daily.......

I can't really see how this is enforceable, it won't be too difficult to hide valuables and cash. I can't see the cops strip searching everyone.
I think it is more of a threat to tell anyone thinking of coming, that they are full up and go somewhere else.
I dont see the problem. We should do it here.
Since I understand they are merely applying existing conditions on their own citizens to the immigrants, that seems fair enough to me. Should be considered by all countries.
Seems very reasonable.

If we are not to end up in civil war something has to happen.
Good for the Danes..about time ...let these people know whose country they are in and who makes the rules...they arent wanted , so wont be missed if they stop going there...far from it

Excellent decision by the Danes.
Why should those who have assets not be made to contribute to their future welfare. Why is it just to impose the welfare costs of largely unwelcome immigrants on the residents of a nation like Denmark ?
