///Also on Saturday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said most migrants from Syria and Iraq would go home once the wars in their countries had ended.///
"Who do you think you're kidding Ms. Merkel?"

From the link:

The number of attacks on refugee accommodation in Germany rose to 1,005 last year - five times more than in 2014.

Wake up lefties........
The AfD is by no means an extremist party and neither is she an extremist, but it is unfortunate that due to her lack of political nous (she is new to the post) she allowed herself to be trapped in this way, allowing a distorted view by the left wing press of what her party has worked hard to achieve.
Do the German police carry cameras then ?
// Ms Petry told the Mannheimer Morgen newspaper (in German), and "if necessary" use firearms.

"That is what the law says," she added.//

Is she correct on a point of FACT on the latter?
KHANDRO, in what way was she "trapped" into saying what she did?
/// "The last German politician under whom refugees were shot at was Erich Honecker" - the leader of Communist East Germany. ///

So it is not just a 'RIGHT Wing' solution, one can't get any more 'LEFT' than him.
if anyone should be shot it should be the EU rissoles who got us into this.
Raus, Raus !

"Ze var is over for you now Mohammed"
This was a 1 to 1 interview with a newspaper reporter and yet most of the media are accompanying this (politically unwise) remark, with photographs of her with a microphone in hand taken at rallies in the past, as if she was saying this while making a speech.

The situation on the ground in German cities and even villages is very bad, there is crime, fighting and hundreds of children have been abducted (god knows what will happen to them). Emotions are running high and the situation is being exacerbated by a helpless feeling among the general population that the press and most politicians are covering up the reality.

It isn't surprising that when asked what can be done to prevent immigrants from storming across borders and overpowering the police in a seemingly never-ending stream, that someone gives such an answer, qualified as it was by her saying it was not what she wanted to see, but it was within the law.
How was she trapped?
The world is going mad. The future scares me.
When a German politician advocates shooting refugees, the world certainly is mad !
Me too N. Especially one where the likes of Tommy Robinson have a say.

erm so that makes it OK then does it ?

[Honecker was more than just a communist by word for corruption and repression]
Zacs-Master, or indeed the likes of Anjem Choudary - but best not mention that.
Khandro has hit the nail on the head....

and I state again the use of the words 'where necessary' and 'within the law' makes her response perfectly legitimate.
I don't advocate shooting migrants but I will echo what Khandro has posted. Germany currently feels like a different country from one year ago.
I'm afraid you did N. Doh! ;-)
if we are gonna say that Honecker had the right ideas
why not go back a bit further -erm to the thirties and just
gas them straight off ?

(being dirty and wind blown - they could need .... showers )

erm I hope my irony klaxon is loud enough
