I did vote Tory TWR but that's not the point, on the subject of the EU, Leaders of all colours even TGL herself have not made use of our primary leverage with the EU. We should get our own way all the time.

TTT...it would be the same as any other Club...if you stopped paying your subs, then eventually you would be suspended. But it would happen overnigh.t

dave is honouring his pledge to see what concessions he can get, before holding a referendum.

dave wasn't my choice last May but he is now our PM and we should be supporting him in this affair. While I am a firm Europhile, I can't pretend that the situation is perfect. There is obviously room for improvement.

In my part of the world, we had much to thank Europe for, during the industrialisation policies of the 1980's and 1990's.

The rest of Europe would wakeup and realise what a big error they made.They would load up hundreds of dinghys and other small boats at Dunkirk with their now tiresome guests which they wished they hadn't welcomed with open arms and point them towards the Straits of Dover. You have not looked at the balance of trade between UK and EU then? Take a look - it's in favour of the EU. That is why the claims of the Europhiles that the EU wont trade with us are a pack of lies.
