I don't agree with vigilantes but until the respective governments put safety measures in force I'm afraid I do agree with them , so long as they are only there as a 'presence' . Too many liberals who are wringing their hands wondering if it's the right thing to do whilst women are being physically abused . No ...fight fire with fire ... no place for politics here .

/// The vigilantes may not currently be 'illegal', their actions may well fall within the confines of the law but it would be very fortunate indeed if it were to stay that
way. ///
Then perhaps you should back off, and praise what they are doing without first accusing them outright?
Talk about stereotyping, I thought that you would be against that sort of thing?

Is this nonsense still going on?
Out of the last 68 answers, 23 have been direct (or at least badly disguised) snipes at andy-hughes.
Those responsible really ought to be (but won't) ashamed of themselves.

I can't be bothered explaining myself to you any more, AOG.

You enjoy getting a spiteful little dig in wherever you can, don't you?

So?
You are entitled to think that, of course.
But he has had to defend himself on so many fronts on this thread that it would not be surprising if he had got his responses a little tangled.
It's not fair to single him out for the type of badgering/baiting he's been subjected to just because his opinion differs from the one people seem to think he 'ought' to have.

/// Re the OP - if the residents of the Finnish towns are happy with the peaceable protection afforded to them by these fellows then well and good. ///
Blimey Mam you almost came near to agreeing, buy then:
/// The articles I have read don't all say the residents are happy and the towns have a long history of skinhead related violence, time will tell I imagine. ///
Always safe to play it both ways eh?

I agree, but that is not why he is being "picked on".
He is perceived to be a person who is "always right", sanctimonious, gives condescending answers and fails to appreciate the importance of " a retreat " from the fray.
With this persona, real or imagined, he is always going to be picked on.

When a debate is going his way he is happy to opine all day. If he starts to become irrational and inconsistent in his answers and trys to dodge questions he returns, and launches into paranoia. "Why do I hate him?"
I don't hate him.I debate and he doesn't like it when he makes a fool of himself.
He accused me of shouting for god's sake. Where were there Capital letters to indicate I was shouting? No where. Why keep telling me to keep calm? I was perfectly in control of my reasoning and kept calm. It would appear he lost his reasoning when he insists illegality where there is none. When challenged he cites an English law not applicable in Finland. There was baiting or badgering on my behalf but I won't be cowed by A-H just because the debate doesn't go the way he wished it to.

How old are you people, Sqad? He is consistently questioned about his opinions even though he's already gave his opinion to more than one person more than one time! Then people make snide remarks when he keeps trying to answer them! It really starts to become uncomfortable reading. This isn't the 'old' AB...
