It was a loose dog on a dual carriage way that had bitten a Policeman -end of - if they had captured it and given it back to the Hunt Kennels the huntsman would have killed it anyway. It would have been kinder to shoot it but that was not possible (apparently)

The usual sarcastic and 'funny' responses, but it doesn't alter the fact that imo this dog shouldn't have been killed, and hunting IS barbaric and drag hunting is just an excuse !! I haven't read all this thread but taken as what it is I found it barbaric. If you can get close enough to a dog to ram it to death with a car at 3am on a deserted road you can get close enough to net, dart or clean shoot it. The fact it was a hunt dog is irrelevant.
