AOG - Give it rest. YOUR sniping and hounding of Andy is tiresome.
Mamya > I don't think we will ever reach a stage where all Judges reach the same conclusion

Which is why we have appellate courts. Johnson will appeal so let's see what happens.

If Ched Evans loses his appeal what will his supporters say?
It's nice to see AOG moving on from a point he's made before that has been rebuffed countless times. Oh wait, never mind.

In terms of the post, two different cases will lead to two different sentences.
Mamya - Perhaps his tin-foil hat had slipped over his eyes and prevented him fully reading the answers he was given?

Pointing out that a contributor has confirmed a point already aired does not constitute 'sniping' but referring to someone by his surname when you have already been asked to refrain from doing so really is 'nudge-scuffling' for a fight.
Agc, yes of course Court of Appeal is there - re Ched Evans, I can't comment on what his supporters may say.
Intermission:

Will you bloody stop that "Hughes" nonsense when talking to Andy, AOG!

It's completely infantile and well below someone of your years.

It's also REALLY BORING for the rest of us!

Thanks! Please carefully consider your reply before posting.

AOG,

Your views on Johnson grooming a 15 year old girl seem to be in sharp contrast to your views on Asian men in Rochdale doing the same thing.

I don't remember you blaming the victims there, and saying that poor little Abdul was unlucky.

when are you going to say the same to AH....

the levels of hypocrisy shown by some on here are truly frightening
baz, that really is a personal and uncalled for attack on another ABer
One point to remember is that a guilty plea at the first opportunity gives an automatic reduction of 1/3rd of the sentence. So the sentence actually was 48 months (4 years). Of course in this case the Daily Wail reports the reduced sentence as that better suits it's intent to cause outrage.
All in all 4 years is very much in line for this type of offence.
AOG

The other difference in the Adam Johnson case, is that he was fully aware of the girl's age.

She told him, and he went ahead with the sexual abuse.

Both cases deserve custodial sentences.

I just find the constant minimising of the Johnson case curious.

Very, very curious.
That's a good point EDDIE51.

Is that something to consider AOG?
@hc4361

what is it with some of you on here when presented with the truth ?
hc4361 at 15:14 \\In this case the woman didn't aggravate the girl's trauma by forcing her to give evidence in court.//

The girls trauma ? didn't she go around her school bragging about it which is why he go caught, hardly traumatised was she?

Dave.
To which case are you referring, Webbo?
Im guessing hc is referring to the fact that the girl in the Adam Johnson case had to go through a "traumatic" court case whereas the girl in the link did ot.

Dave.
bazwillrun - //what is it with some of you on here when presented with the truth ? //

An excellent question!

What's your answer?
andy-hughes

Superficially, I can see similarities in the two cases, but as has been pointed out before, there are enough differences (admission of guilt is a huge one) to explain the one year difference in the sentences.
